
Forgive my international friends or others who may not understand the current ridiculous actions in American(‘Merican) culture right now. If you do understand, then this little quick tongue in cheek side project may be for you.
The use of “X” is meant to be all inclusive like a variable, and does ironically reference some related topics, but this application has no defaults, so it shouldn’t do anything without configuration.
This is a complete joke because I know putting creative things publicly out there can impact your ownership of the content. I even have my own personal experience having a mall t-shirt artist take my work for his profit when I was a teenager. The age of 17 is an odd place to learn the phrase “derivative works.”
This idea is simple; Sometimes, if someone clicks on a link posted to one place on the web, we can see where it came from. These are known as “referrers,” and it is how traffic is analyzed. Of course there are ways for you to lock this information down from public access, and you should always use technology based on your needs for information and privacy. It is a very thoughtful transaction worthy of your research.
This WordPress plugin can be installed on your website and be used to redirect any links that may still be published to those networks you have configured. For example, I am currently testing this will my old X(twitter) account. You should be able to find any old post to here from my old account to test it.
